Overview

In anticipation of an award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Cloud Architect. You will play a major role in the design, build, implementation, and delivery of scalable Microsoft Azure solutions. You will also be responsible for designing and optimizing the cloud infrastructure environment and building out automation using Infrastructure as Code techniques.

 

**Remote w/occasional on-site meetings in Washington DC.**

**Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Government Agency Suitability Clearance.**

What You'll Do

  • Work with Office of the CIO (OCIO) groups to determine best path forward for Azure services as they relate to infrastructure​
  • Familiarity with cloud services to expedite the move to cloud by leveraging past experience​
  • Create and implement a migration plan for each infrastructure service that will move to the cloud​
  • Provide data flow and authentication flow diagrams for TTB cloud architecture​
  • Manage all infrastructure permissions and accounts in Azure​
  • Configure Privilege Identity Management (PIM) in Azure to provide security benefits​
  • Monitor the resource usage in Azure to ensure optimal settings to prevent runaway costs​
  • Ensure could environments are properly hardened against vulnerabilities​
  • Lead migration to Office 365​
  • Provide Azure engineering support to operations and work stream teams (e.g. Infosec, DevOps,) and work with third-party providers​
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide guidance to technical leadership regarding future issue prevention​

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 7 years of experience with server virtualization
  • At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure
  • At Least 3 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure cloud migration
  • Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Government Agency Suitability Clearance

Nice to Haves

  • 5+ years of experience with Virtualization: Virtualization Server, Storage, Desktop, Network; Reducing Sprawl
  • 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support
  • 5+ years of experience with Servers, Infrastructure, Platform Sizing, Infrastructure Cost Reduction
  • 5+ years of experience with legacy system engineering assessments, discovering the build and details surrounding the system in order to re-build it in a new hosted environment
  • 3+ years of AWS experience
