Overview
Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a technically strong and approachable developer who can connect with a variety of personality types and maintain a strategic perspective. The project will be supporting mission critical applications for a federal agency. You will be responsible for development and implementation of application enhancements using existing and emerging technology platforms. The developer must be able to work well independently or as part of a development team. The developer will work as part of a combined contractor and Federal government scrum team.

**Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Government Agency Suitability Clearance.**

What You'll Do
- Work as part of a collaborative contractor/government team throughout the software development life cycle
- Collaborate with designers and analysts to implement enhancements or new applications
- Develop code to meet user story acceptance criteria
- Debug, test, and fix errors
- Actively participate as part of a scrum team
- Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards
- Estimate level of effort to develop code to meet acceptance criteria
- Share best practices and improve processes within and across scrum teams, and mentor more junior developers
- Must be comfortable with juggling multiple priorities with the ability to manage time effectively
- Working in a team-based environment to provide software engineering and application development
- Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials
- Works closely with subject matter experts in order to understand system requirements
- Create and maintain architectural application documentation and standards
- Troubleshoots and debugging application code
- Runs automated deployments
Must Haves
- US Citizenship required for consideration
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of work experience as a Full Stack Developer
- Must demonstrate strong work experience in Java, Python and SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript libraries
- Experience in designing and implementing automation using scripts, must be proficient in scripting with Python
- Proficient in Oracle and SQL Server Database development
- Proficient in Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate
- Experience developing and deploying applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud-based environments
- Experience building websites using JS frameworks such as Angular and React
- Strong knowledge of industry best practice development and release management process
- Strong background working in Agile environments with Agile methodologies
- Solid understanding of Git/Github/Bitbucket
- Experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development frameworks
- Experience with continuous integration practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Integration and Unit testing experience required
Nice to Haves
- Experience with automated deployment tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins
- Experience leveraging Web Services and/or Service Oriented Architecture
