Overview

In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. – recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace – is seeking an Archive and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing available web analytics and SEO performance, as well as reporting on the status of the archival engine.

 

You will also oversee three key areas of the Client's websites:

  • Evaluating how the websites can enhance product usage by interpreting insights from web analytics,
  • Monitoring the status of the client’s websites within archiving tools, and
  • Recommending improvements to optimize the placement of web products through Search Engine Optimization techniques.

Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to pass a background check.

What You'll Do

Main Area(s) of Responsibility: Web Operations and Maintenance/Multimedia Support/Web and Interactive Design and Development

 

  • Analyze website data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Maintain awareness and openness to finding solutions within the framework of scientific ethics and government security standards.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of existing analytics implementations and recommend improvements.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust the environment to improve stability, flexibility, and scalability.
  • Develop routine reports that highlight key insights and their planning implications.
  • Ensure content is free from structural errors and properly indexed by search engines.
  • Monitor website performance, address crawl issues, and improve site speed.
  • Optimize content for both search engines and user experience.
  • Improve website content, meta tags, titles, and descriptions to enhance organic search visibility and click-through rates.
  • Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues affecting search engine crawling and indexing, such as broken links, site speed, and mobile-friendliness.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and changes in SEO, analytics, and digital marketing.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to define and meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Integrate seamlessly with existing staff and teams.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of experience performing SEO using technologies such as Drupal, Google Analytics, Web Content Management Systems, and working with API calls. Proficiency in parsing JSON data, as well as working with services like HTTP, SOAP, and REST.
  • Experience with cloud migrations.
  • A strong understanding of how SEO integrates into a broader online marketing strategy and interacts with other marketing tactics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, modeling, creating charts/graphs)
  • Experience implementing and managing Google Analytics.

Salary Range

  • Salary range is $130,000-165,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
