Overview

In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Senior IT Contracts Analyst. You will be responsible for assisting in the development, management and oversight of IT-related federal contracts to ensure contractor compliance with terms, conditions, and performance expectations. This role supports the Federal Acquisition team by providing analytical, technical, and administrative assistance related to IT procurement, contract execution, and performance monitoring.

 

Location: This position is 5 days onsite in Washington, DC.

What You'll Do

  • Technical SOW, PWS, SOOand supporting acquisition documentation Development: Assist in drafting and refining Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Objectives (SOO) as well as supporting acquisition documentation (e.g., Acquisition Plans, Technical Evaluation Factors, Evaluation Forms, Independent Government Cost Estimates, market research, etc.) to ensure clear and precise IT contract requirements.
  • Technical Oversight & IT Procurement Support: Provide technical guidance and recommendations on IT contract requirements and procurement strategies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of IT contract-related activities and prepare reports for the program office/Contracting Officer.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all IT contract activities align with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency policies. Ensure high standard of quality on acquisition documents and incorporate lessons learned in acquisition process.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify and address risks related to acquisition packages and Procurement Action Lead Time (PALT).
  • Budget & Invoice Review: Assist in reviewing and validating IT contractor invoices against deliverables and contract terms before approval.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Support communication between the program office and contractor personnel to resolve issues and ensure contract success.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Contract Management, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5-10 years of experience in federal IT contract management, acquisition, or procurement.

  • Experience drafting and refining Statements of Work (SOW) and Statements of Objectives (SOO) to ensure clear and precise IT contract requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), IT procurement policies, and cybersecurity compliance standards.

  • Experience in IT contractor oversight, performance monitoring, and risk management.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in contract management software, IT procurement tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Contract Management, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Salary Range

  • Salary range is $110,000-140,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
