Overview

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking an IT Administrative Assistant support the front office of a federal government agency in an IT environment. You will support the Director with event management, schedule management, meeting preparation, meeting notes, action items.
 
Location: This position is 5 days on-site in Washington, DC.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day business activities of the Director
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Prioritize and handle internal and external correspondence
  • Screen incoming calls in the most professional manner
  • Maintain daily and long-term calendar
  • Coordinate meetings and materials preparation
  • Make all necessary travel arrangements
  • Create and maintain comprehensive filing system
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Able to organize the calendars of the Director and other OFSPO leadership
  • Note taking during meetings and conference calls; identifying and following up on action items
  • Organized with the ability to accommodate changing priorities
  • Demonstrate the ability to interface with high-level government clients
  • Demonstrate the ability to schedule meetings, organize conferences, and plan events

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Admin/Executive Assistant in an IT environment.
  • Federal government contracting experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project and Visio

  • Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently (take initiative and personal ownership over work activities) and as part of a team
  • Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project and Visio 

Nice to Haves

  • General knowledge of federal business operations

Salary Range

  • Salary range is $50,000-60,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
