Overview

In anticipation of an award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking an IT Program Manager. You will be responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks that often require managing teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations. Provide overall direction of program activities.  You will manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization. Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations. Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and assume the initiative and provide support to NIEHS OIT. 

 

You will report directly to the Tantus Program manager, and work closely with our project leadership, federal counterparts, COR, and COTRs to understand and fully support the needs of the client within the scope of our contract by bringing value through processes, systems, and projects. Availability of remote work subject to client guidelines.

  • Lead and evaluate project leads and other Contractor staff
  • Collaborate with the Government on senior strategic planning efforts at the CIO level.
  • Coordinate interconnected projects and coordinating cross-project activities

Required Knowledge and Skills

• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering or related Or
• Four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree requirement established for this key personnel function.
• Minimum 7 years supervising technical teams to maintain reliable and available IT infrastructure and services.
• Experience establishing operational objectives and assignments, and delegating assignments to subordinate managers and staff.
• Experience working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with Government representatives both orally and in writing.

Abilities

Candidates must be able to lead cross functional teams for Applications Development, Network Engineering, IT Security, and Data Center Operations in a fast paced environment and manage four team leaders and over 20 team members

Nice to Haves

PMP or IT Professional Certifications are a plus.
