Overview

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) contract, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is seeking skilled professionals to support a wide range of program and technical services across the institute. This is a remote position with occasional onsite visits required for key personnel to support collaboration, planning, and program delivery.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams through Scrum ceremonies, promote Agile best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. The ideal candidate will act as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator to help cross-functional teams deliver high-quality software and achieve business objectives.

 

What You'll Do

  • Act as a Servant Leader to the Enterprise Reporting agile development teams
  • Oversee design, implementation, QA, and validation of enterprise reporting products
  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
  • Maintain the Kanban board, sprint backlog, product backlog, burn-down charts
  • Maintain Risks and Dependencies
  • Understand the fundamental concepts of software development to provide direction and support during the project lifecycle
  • Use data and statistical analysis to provide direction and support for project decisions.
  • Consolidate data from various sources to formulate recommendations and compose briefings suitable for presenting to senior management.
  • Analyze feedback for communication back to the Agile development team.
  • Maintain daily/ weekly project and program reporting as needed by the PMO.
  • Create process checklists and standards for SAFe Agile Development Lifecycle.
  • Attend various Scrum ceremonies, ECB and other SDLC meetings, in order to promote the project through the various gates.
  • Shape team behavior through excellent management via the SAFe Agile methodology
  • Remove project obstacles, develop solutions with team
  • Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program owners
  • Document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships between the business departments, the Agile development teams and other IT departments.

 

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile processes

  • Experience in dealing with IT software development projects

  • Good written, verbal and analytical skills

  • US Citizenship and the eligibility to obtain Public Trust

 

Abilities

Understanding of Federal Government policies and procedures and demonstrated ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines.

Nice to Haves

  • PMP
  • Scrum Master certification

Salary Range

The salary range is $135,000-147,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational need
