Overview

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with experience in building and enhancing test automation frameworks to join our agile development teams delivering IT solutions. In this role, you will be part of an Agile DevOps team responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products through software testing principles, test automation, collaboration, including framework design, development, scripting, and test execution using Node.js/Playwright. 

What You'll Do

  • Conduct an initial assessment of existing test processes, plans, and procedures then identify those elements which can be transitioned from manual to automated 
  • Design automation components/modules that can be leveraged across multiple test scripts using a standard automation framework embedded within Agile / DevOps processes and performed on all stages (e.g. Development, Staging, UAT, and Production) 
  • Review user stories and create test cases, test scripts and test suites before execution 
  • Analyze and identify suitable opportunities for test automation 
  • Develop automation components/modules using appropriate tools and programming languages 
  • Develop automation components/modules using parameterized data from an external source such as a spreadsheet 
  • Leverage best practices and available automation frameworks to reduce automation maintenance 
  • Execute test automation script/cases, identify/log issues, and provide support during issue resolution process 
  • Support test automation solution planning and estimation 
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and related requirements 
  • In conjunction with test automation, apply regression, smoke, data integrity, security, and Section 508 testing
  • Plan, document and perform manual test plans

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

*This position is associated with a Federal Contract and requires U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder to be considered.

Requires extensive knowlegde of playwright automation tool, test autmation frameworks, DevOps and test automation integration with pipelines

Salary Range

$115,000-$135,000
