Overview

Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Tester. You will work closely with the project team We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Assurance Tester to join our development team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The Senior QA Tester will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies, leading complex testing initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in our QA processes and automation coverage.

* This is a hybrid role, potentially once a week on site in Raleigh, NC. *

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and detailed test cases for new and existing product features.

  • Execute various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing, and clearly document, prioritize, and track defects from discovery through resolution.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts and frameworks (e.g., using Selenium, TestRail) to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

  • Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements, clarify user stories, and ensure testability of features throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement within the QA process and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum).

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.

  • Expert proficiency in designing and implementing test automation frameworks and scripts.

  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and software engineering best practices.

  • Strong hands-on experience with back-end testing, including writing complex SQL queries.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective communication with stakeholders, management, and development teams.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with multiple test automation tools is preferred.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Salary Range

110-120k
