Overview
Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Quality Assurance Test Engineer. This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. These individuals are subject matter experts on testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. They help condition and generate test data, build, and execute manual test suites; record and communicate the test results; and assist with triaging defects. They also ensure regression test suites are well designed and maintained. This role will also work closely with the Test Automation Engineer to establish and maintain the automation framework.

What You'll Do
Required Knowledge and Skills
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing with knowledge implementing various testing strategies (Regression, Functional, Smoke, Usability, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within an Agile development methodology (Scrum and Kanban)
- Strong test case writing, test planning, and documentation skills.
- Experience working within an agile/scrum methodology
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of requirements traceability and Agile Software Development Lifecycle (ASDLC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience coding software, preferably in Javascript/Typescript a huge plus
- Limited experience in building and/or maintaining test automation frameworks
- Experience with Pega Platform, React and/or Azure DevOps Pipelines highly desired

- Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements
